The Top Ten (10) Spiritual Laws
Background:
There exists a creator, known as God or Lord, who is a non-temporal self-existent being. God created a universe having physical form and placed in it a man and a woman created by him on the surface of a spherical habitat called the Earth. After some time, and at the urging of God, the man and women procreated and had children to populate the Earth. God lives in a spiritual realm called heaven and man lives in separate realm called the universe. God also established physical, economic, and spiritual laws to govern the workings of the created universe and to govern the relationship between man and God. From the descendants of the man and women, God chose a certain group of people known on the Earth as the “Hebrews” or “Jews” to whom he revealed himself and through whom he also revealed himself to the rest of mankind on the Earth. God loved these Jews and all of mankind so much that he took on physical form on the Earth to personally show all of mankind who he was and to sacrifice himself for their benefit. He did this in the personage of his son Jesus, who was born and lived as a Hebrew, and then was put to death through crucifixion when he revealed to mankind who God was and how to become part of God’s family. Crucifixion is a violent and agonizing method of executing someone where the victim is affixed to an elevated platform in the shape of a cross until one suffocates to death over a period of many hours. Through these Jews, and a few others, God also wrote a book to explain who he is, the sacrifice he made, and what is mankind’s destiny. The book is known as the bible.
As revealed in that book, I have attempted to record the top ten (10) spiritual laws that appear to me to be the most important laws that govern mankind’s relationship with the creator. As with physical laws, these laws are immutable,EN1 and apply to all mankind in all ages of human history.
Law No. 1: Each man or woman born into the Earth is a created being by God and each lives eternally.EN2
Law No. 2: Each man or woman experiences two stages in their existence: (1) a mortal, fleshly stage; and (2) an everlasting spiritual stage after the mortal stage.
Law No. 3: After living the mortal, fleshly stage, each man or woman diesEN3 and is judged by God,EN4 and either goes to be with God in a new imperishable body,EN5 eternal and glorious, fit for eternal living in a beautiful realm in God's presence; or they go to a place eternally separated from God where they receive a new imperishable body fit for eternal suffering in a grotesque realm, a dark horrible place of everlasting torment in oven-like conditions with no possibility of escape. The former realm is called heaven and the later realm is called hell.
Law No. 4: A vast expanse exists between heaven and hell and no human being can pass between the two realms once consigned to one or the other.EN6
Law No. 5: Each person is sinful from birth and destined for hell after death,EN7 but any person may escape hell by providing an acceptable atoning sacrifice to God prior to death.EN8
Law No. 6: There is only one atoning sacrifice acceptable to God—a personal relationship with and submission to God’s son, known by the name Jesus.EN9
Law No. 7: Any human being not capable of making a rational judgment about or capable of forming a personal relationship with Jesus is mercifully pardoned by God and allowed to enter heaven at death (e.g. infants and, children of immature age—often referred to as not having reached an “age of accountability”; unborn children; and mentally impaired humans incapable of forming a personal relationship with Jesus).EN10
Law No. 8: The natural human mind cannot establish a personal relationship with God’s son on its own, but must be assisted by God’s spirit, known as the “holy spirit.”EN11
Law No. 9: At the moment of establishing a true (atoning) relationship with Jesus, the Holy Spirit enters that person permanently, marking that person for heaven and acting as that person’s spiritual helper during their Earthly (fleshy stage) existence.EN12
Law No. 10: The Bible cannot be spiritually understood except and unless the reader has the assistance of the Holy Spirit.EN13
Helpful Definitions:
-
Universe: A created realm having physical form and governed by a set of physical laws established at the creation of the universe. Those physical laws permit the existence of human beings in suitable habitats, such as the planet Earth. The Universe was originally created as a perfect place, but was corrupted by the disobedience of the first man and woman placed into it. God has promised to recreate the Universe again at the end of the current age as it was originally intended.
-
Flesh: A term used to describe the physical biology of the relatively soft human body being made up of skin, organs, and bone. The human body is a container that holds a person’s being, which is spirit. That spirit is often referred to as a “soul.”
-
Atonement: A condition of two parties, estranged from each other because one of them offends the other, who become reconciled through some type of payment or expiation.
-
Hell: a place of everlasting fire and torment, originally created for Lucifer and his disobedient angels but which will also be a destination for all unredeemed humans. Hell is described in the Bible as a place of everlasting darkness, and fire and hot lava like material called brimstone. Hell is separated from another place called heaven by a permanent expanse or “gulf” that cannot be traversed.
-
Heaven: An eternal place having paradise like conditions in which God, who is holy, exists.
End Notes:
-
While immutable, God can supernaturally suspend or alter any law as he sees fit. He has repeatedly suspended physical laws to suit his needs as, for example, when he suspended the rotation of the Earth to allow the Israelites to win a battle, or created food to allow his disciples to feed 5000 from a few pieces of bread and fish, or when he raised the dead like with Lazarus. Hence, there are recorded and predicted exceptions to the listed laws. One notable predicted exception is the rapture when all then living Christians will not die but will be instantly transmuted into their new bodies. These supernatural exceptions do not, however, lessen the power or immutability of the spiritual laws. Rather, the exceptions emphasis God’s omnipotence and supremacy over all that he has created.
